I live in a small town of 20,000 in northern British Columbia where I moved here 7 years ago to care for a mom who was considered to have alzeimers dementia which later was discovered she had nervous breakdown form mental, emotional ,and finacial abuse from the family. she would have dilusions &hallusionations time to time which went on for 6 years. being a small town there was little support or help in way of this desease until eventually she was taken from her home and placed in a care facility for 3 years in Quesnel BC. tis a place where they use antiphsicotic drugs as control to keep them calmed down.I tried hard to find a good doctor which later found out all the doctors are from South Africa . The family were held responsible for elder abuse in which the public guardian trustees took over all her financial needs &health care.Tthe care home was costing 1100.00 a month for her care. Please give me your opinions of this situation of proper care for our ailing parents. Its has caused myself alot of grief, frustration &financial hardship be this situation!!
